The ability to download a book without logging in (now gone) was a great way to know we were on a legitimate site. Why did they remove it?
At a guess, somebody decided to use it as a way to DDOS the site to try and break it. Usually the way.

In fact, you can still download books from our website without logging in or registering. This feature allows you to download 5 books per day. However, there’s a catch: without a login, downloads are tracked by IP address. But since an IP address is very often not unique, another user could use it to download the allotted 5 books. In this case, the limit is considered exhausted, and you won’t be able to download any more books without logging in.

Its not been hacked. Please see the list above. There are dozens upon DOZENS of fake sites pretending to be the library. This whole thread is trying to warn you how to work out whether a site is the real library or not. Please read it.
The one you've been using is a fake site, we covered that elsewhere.

What do you mean when you say "it's still like what you see now"? If you mean that the fraudulent websites are still up and running, then, unfortunately, block them is not within our authority. Otherwise, we would have done so a long time ago.
