If you don't know what the book isbn is, you cannot set up a book request. But you can use a Z-alert.
Z-alerts are about half as powerful as book requests, in that nobody can browse Z-alerts to see what people are asking for. Instead it'll just notify you when a book with your desired title/author/language or whatever shows up on site.
